Why ask about one word?
Because it is the only thing there is to ask about.
Cards of this kind normally appear because a page is about to pull in code from a dozen other firms. Here there is nothing of the sort to declare, so the question is confined to that one word.
What happens if I refuse?
Nothing is written, which is the point, and the card closes for the page you are on and asks again next time.
That is the honest consequence rather than a fault: remembering a refusal would mean writing the very thing the refusal declined. Turning off storage for this address in the browser has the same effect permanently, and costs nothing here, because the reading is identical either way.
How do I get rid of the word?
Clear site data for this address. The word goes, the card comes back, and there is nothing else of ours anywhere to clear.
What will the fare search add?
Nothing today. Nothing on these pages runs from anywhere but this address. Whatever the booking service keeps, it keeps on its own subdomain once a reader has crossed to it, under its own notice and not this one.
When that changes, the booking company will write whatever its own notice covers. Expect at least a token holding a search across its pages, and, as is normal in that trade, a second recording where the search originated, which is the mechanism behind the payment set out on the fare search.
Those rows join the table above on the day it happens, with their real names, and the review date moves. This paper will not invent an inventory of somebody else's product and print it as fact.
Is there advertising or measurement?
Neither, anywhere. If either is added it belongs in the table above with a name, a purpose and a lifetime, and it will be there before it is live rather than after.
What about Do Not Track and privacy signals?
Both are satisfied here for a dull reason: there is nothing for either to switch off. Visits go uncounted, returning readers go unrecognized and no profile is assembled anywhere, so a browser asking for that state of affairs is asking for what it already has.
